From D3 to sinking NBA threes: The Duncan Robinson Story

“I came across Slate in college when I was looking for a healthier alternative to chocolate milk to drink in between workouts. It quickly became an essential part of my daily routine. In my experience, it’s pretty rare to find a product that tastes amazing while also giving you the necessary nutrients to prepare or recover from a workout.”

From D3 to sinking NBA threes: The Duncan Robinson Story

Miami Heat sharpshooter Duncan Robinson wasn’t a highly recruited high school basketball player.

But that only made him work harder.

Robinson went from playing D3 basketball at small liberal arts school Williams College, to receiving a full scholarship at the University of Michigan under head coach John Belein.

His dream was to play in the NBA, but after going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Robinson had another daunting task ahead of him: Earning his spot on an NBA team.

Again, Robinson overcame adversity, crushed the NBA Summer League, and ended up getting a contract with the Miami Heat.

And he never looked back.

A few years later in 2021, Robinson signed what was, at the time, the biggest NBA contract for an undrafted player.

He’s now went on to compete in two NBA Finals and has made a name for himself as one of the best three point shooters in NBA history.

Today, we’re proud to call Duncan Robinson an official Slate Partner.

His story is an inspiration to people all over the world to never give up on their dreams, and to work hard every single day to get better, and stronger.

Cheers,

The Slate Team
